As we reflect on our interactions with volunteers, we can see the unique spark that they bring to our facility. If you have volunteers in your department, then you will know how much we count on them. They are part of our St. Boniface Hospital team and add so much value and compassion to the care our facility provides. As you see volunteers throughout this week, please extend a thank you or a note of appreciation to let them know how much they mean to us.

Mona and Maddie are two exceptional volunteers who go above and beyond to support patients and visitors at St. Boniface Hospital.

They dedicate so much of their time to the hospital. From welcoming patients and visitors at the Main Entrance to supporting the busy Emergency Department, and showing up to countless special events throughout the year, Mona and Maddie as well as all other volunteers are truly amazing human beings.

No matter where they’re needed, their compassion and positive attitudes ensure every patient feels cared for. Thank you for all the selfless work you do!

Shean works at St. Boniface Hospital in Medical Device Reprocessing, and has a true passion and dedication to Healthcare that led him to join our Volunteer team as a Patient Ambassador.

Hoping to gain direct patient experience, this role has allowed him to share his cheerfulness with others.

If you see Shean or any volunteer around the hospital, make sure to say hi and thank you.

It may take only a smile from you, but it means the world to those who devote their time, skill, and heart to patient care.
