The Vascular Limb Preservation Clinic (VLPC) at St-Boniface Hospital is a specialized outpatient service dedicated to preventing limb loss in patients with wounds, poor circulation, and diabetes-related foot complications.

  • Peripheral Artery Disease
  • Reduced blood flow to the legs causing pain, wounds, or tissue damage.
  • Non-Healing Wounds
  • Foot and leg wounds that haven’t healed with standard care, including diabetic foot ulcers.
  • Gangrene & Tissue Loss
  • Early dry gangrene and necrosis managed to prevent further progression and amputation.
  • Charcot Foot
  • Nerve-related bone and joint changes in the foot, with or without open wounds.

You don’t need to figure it out alone! If you have a wound that isn’t healing, leg pain at rest, or have been told you have poor circulation — talk to your Provider and ask whether a referral to the VLPC is right for you.

Download and use this Provider Referral form.
