Emergency
Averaging 42,000 patient per year, or over 115 patients per day, St. Boniface’s Emergency Program provides emergency treatment for patients facing a variety of illnesses from minor to very serious or life threatening problems in clients of all ages.
As St. Boniface Hospital is the centre for the regional cardiac sciences program, a referral site for Stroke patients and Acute Care Surgical Services, the ER also plays a major role in these populations
This multidisciplinary team faces ongoing and exciting challenges requiring a vast array of knowledge and experience as they are presented with the unpredictable and forever changing care needs of the clients and their families.
Please note: Only patients seeking care in Emergency and those accompanying them may access the Emergency entrance. All other visitors and patients coming for appointments should use alternate entrances and exits when arriving and leaving the hospital.
